Sermon Notes:

A Call To Remember
Burt Ong

Our memory are sometimes not reliable. People need to be reminded more often.

1. Intentionally and Purposefully Remember
Nehemiah 9:1-5
Took time to remember. It was planned.
It was intentional and purposeful.

What keeps us from being intentional and purposeful in taking time to remember God?

“We have learned to multiply our possessions, but we reduced our values…We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years.” – Bob Moorehead

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

2. Value and Carefully Remember
Nehemiah 9:5-31
A long prayer resembling some historical psalms.

What do we value most?

Used vs Loved
Anger and Love have no limits, choose love to have a beautiful life.
Things are to be used, people are to be loved.
But in the world, people are used, things are loved.
