Sermon Notes:

Do You Believe?
Willing Workers II
Burt Ong

Matthew 10:1-16
At first it sounds like Jesus is sending them out to fail

"Peace" – equivalent to ‘shalom’ and refers to prosperity, well being and blessing.
"Shake the dust off your feet" – an expression of disdain after returning from gentile region.

Question: Do you believe what JESUS said?
He will provide. We are so use to calculated risk that we will only commit to something when we are assure. Jesus method is very different. He wants us trust and go by faith (One suitcase challenge/ deep end)

John 6:35

“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to." -Steve Jobs

John 8:12
Darkness – Scary/Insecure.
Following Jesus gives us light. Everything we are worried about seem to be connected to the future. You be with Jesus, he will light your path.

John 11:25-26
Not just the ressurection but he is the life. Is not for the end only but present too. We are dead without Jesus. Alive but no life.

James 2:19
