Malachi 3:2-3; 1 John 3:3; James 1:2-4; James 5:16; Philippians 2:12-15; Romans 8:18; Proverbs 25:4 | Refined Malachi 3:2-3 Malachi tells the people that God has not forgotten them and calls us to a deeper kind of preparation – a serious spiritual preparation. 1 John 3:3 The passion for purity and holiness is not to be considered as a plaything, it is a process of refinement which goes through the furnace of affliction. We all are going through this process as Christians. 1. Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable. We are not exceptional, there is a sense that this should happen to others but not me. There is this believe that the world owe you and I something. There is a dillusion optimism to believe that we can live beyond our means and not face consequences. Refining process is not easy, infact can be very uncomfortable. The goal is to be purify!!! Do we get clean from the inside? 2. Purify with the right Perspective Everything in life is about perspective. Sometimes minor set back can create phychological and spiritual meltdown in ppl who don’t have spiritual prespective. Complaint about life.…so much going on. Can’t even breath. Life is so unfair. Giving from a cleansed heart in a right condition before God. God wants you and I to give/do everything with that condition. Romans 8:18 What a comfort it is to see that He surrenders this work to no one, He may give charge to His angels concerning us when we are in danger BUT when it comes to our refinement He Himself does it. |
