Practical Challenges
- The Holy Spirit desires our salvation, so we should be obedient (Tit. 3:3-4; Mt. 28:19)
- Father, Son and Spirit work together in unity for our good, so we should be unified the work of God as well (Eph. 4:1-6)

B. WHAT the Holy Spirit DOES
#1 He comforts and guides
John 15:26, "But when the Comforter comes. . . He shall testify of me."

John 16:13 “He will guide you…”

#2 He gives gifts
The Spirit empowers Christians by distributing (various) spiritual gifts (charis/charismata).

How the Spirit works
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. – 1 Co 12:4-7 (NIV)
