Growth And Development

Rooted means :-
- when one thing is rooted in another, it is based on it, has developed from it, or is influenced by it. 

Focus: has developed from it

- What’s the differences between growth and development
- Economically
a)Growth is a quantitative measurement
b)Development is a qualitative measurement.
- Biology
a)Growth indicates a quantifiable change in size. 
b)Development indicates a transformation of structure
- Growth and development have a very complex interaction.
- Human children both grow and develop from birth through about 18 years of age.
a) The growth in physical size is measurable. The development of sexual organs at puberty is clear.

1. More Developed and less Distracted

Feel God can moved more powerfully
What is the disconnect?

Ephesians 3:20-21
More than you can imagine
For all generation…forever
It is true and it has to be true
It has got to be his power

2. More of Christ and less of You
Too dependent on others
Best source of fixing anything
Easy to come to because they see us
Bible is the exact opposite. (Most important thing is what you cannot see)

If we don’t change our direction we are likely to end up where we are headed.

Christ is the Answer

What amazes you about Christ?

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Philippians 3:8
What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ

Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Colossians 2:9-10
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

Ephesians 3:20
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Colossians 3:3-4
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory

Can you imagine what is possible?

Christ is the answer, you are not

Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.
If you have a vision, we are willing to restraint
If I have a clear goal, we will do almost anything to meet it.

What is the Vision that inspire you?

when one thing is rooted in another, it is based on it, has developed from it, or is influenced by it. 

Willing to deny myself to be more like Jesus?

What’s the motivation?

Col 3:1
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

1 Cor 3:11
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
