1. The person I need to see

Moses

- A place where Abraham’s son Midian’s territory.
- Spends 40 years.
- Works for Jethro (Midian Priest)

Exodus 3:10-14(NIV)
[10] So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” [11] But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” [12] And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” [13] Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, ‘What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?” [14] God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.' ”

Exodus4:1,2, 10,11, (NIV)
[4:1] Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you'?” [2] Then the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. [3] The LORD said, “Throw it on the ground.”Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. [10] Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

Exodus4:1,2, 10,11, 12&14 (NIV)
[11] The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD? [12] Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” [13] But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.” [14] Then the LORD's anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you.

Moses needed to see the person he is and God is showing it to him
The question is, can Moses see the person he is?

Galation 6:3 (ESV)
For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Galation 6:3 (ESV)
Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

- Frontal Lobe is know as Cerebrum
- Function as the cognitive part of the brain (like a mainframe computer)
- Part where a person understands the world and acts in it.
- Controls emotion, judgement, memory, language, problem solving, etc

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- CBT is a type of talking treatment that focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and behaviour, and teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems.
- The objective here is to help the person to see that they have a situation with their behavior (intentional or unintentional). The person needs to accept it and get it corrected.

Very intentional to impart the right values to our kids so that they will grow to have that Godly value!

Deuteronomy 6:7 (NIV)
[7] Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. [8] Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. [9] Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Who do we see our self today?
(imagine if we could plug our self out from our body, who do you see?)

2. The Person I need to be

Hebrews 11:24 (NIV)
[24] By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. [25] He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. [26] He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

- What a different Moses.
- He consider his life in Christ far better than anything else.
- God help him to become the person he needs to be.

Ephesians 4:22 - 32 (NIV)
[22] You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; [23] to be made new in the attitude of your minds; [24] and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. [25] Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. [26] “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, [27] and do not give the devil a foothold. [28] Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. [29] Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. [30] And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. [31] Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. [32] Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

After knowing the person you are, you must then learn to accept our weakness, struggles etc and be the person God wants us to be.
Or do we see it as the Dos & Don’ts

- The person I am now
